OK GO and the Muppets

I wish the Muppets were still on.  That show was incredibly raunchy for its time.

Inception: Filming the Corridor and Zero Gravity Scenes

Face it.  That was the best part of the whole movie.  I got super excited just watching it again.  And the fact that they built that whole thing!!!

Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake

Not quite sure how I feel about their voices yet, but I sure know how excited I am to see the whole episode!

Harry Potter Friday Parody

YesYes YES!!!!  This is 8 directions of awesome.  Also, where did they get that snake?

Sleepy Kitty Passes Out

If I didn't post at least one cat video, I would be failing you.  After all, what is the internet for except to find cat videos?

Anatomy of a Computer Virus

WATCH IT!!!  I know this looks boring, but it made the internet rounds for a reason.  It is both inspiring and terrifying.  The future of warfare is digital.

Stuxnet: Anatomy of a Computer Virus from Patrick Clair on Vimeo.

DixonBaxi Reel 2011

At first, the music made me sad.  But then, I was like, now I have hope!  Also, it was visually appealing.

Summer Cuts 2011

I am in love with Nathan Love.  Especially the NBC peacock.  ahahaha, I just watched it again.  Still funny.

Brave

Pixar does, in general, a really good job with their movies.  Including the promotions.  However, I don't think anything will ever be as splendiferous as all the WALL-E previews that told you nothing about the actual movie, but made you want to see it nevertheless.

Harry Potter

I love Harry Potter.  The movies have been such a string of disappointments, but I can't help but love them.  I have literally grown up with Harry Potter.  What will fill the void when it's over?

Oh Gee Oh Why Or how to mastermind a nonsensical parade following a cock-a-hoop bestiary into the doors of infinity.

Fair warning!  It's Annecy time again, which is the film festival in France that Gobelins (the animation school) does A TON of animations for.  Be prepared for a whimsical, slightly ludicrous onslaught of animations.

Grand Central

Hey, wow, that's nice.  Is that Gobelins?

Yes, yes it is.

Jazzin'

Gobelins.  Again.

T-Mobile Angry Birds Live

This has made it's way around the internet a couple times already, so you've probably seen it before.  But every time I see it, I have to watch it, so I figured I might as well post it.  ....I want to do this.

Star Wars The Old Republic E3 2011 Trailer

I have expressed numerous times my love for Star Wars.  This game is so beautiful (except for the dialogue.  A little bit left to be desired there).  I am so excited.

I don't think this is really a contest.  But I'm pretty sure it's hysterical.

Exprience Human Flight

Would you go skydiving?  I would.  So fast.  You're so high up, it's not like falling, really.  And if you die, which is unlikely, well, that seems like a fun way to go.

On another note.  Slow motion is what people do when they have a stupid clip they need to look cool.  I have just ruined slow motion for you.  Even this clip, which is pretty cool to begin with, I hate a little bit because it is so much slow motion.

Experience Human Flight from Betty Wants In on Vimeo.

Symmetry

It's symmetry and pairs and opposites and beautiful.  It makes me happy.

Mrs. Peppercorn's Magical Reading Room

That's it.  I have found something new to fill the void that that the end of Harry Potter left.  This movie looks beautiful both visually and plot-wise.  And Mrs. Pepper corn is a lot older than Harry Potter which leaves me MANY years to live in denial about my own magical abilities.

Love is Like Life but Longer

I wasn't actually going to watch this the whole way through, but then the music started and there was the quote about Love being before and after us and we just catch the middle of it, and then the TITLE.  How can you not love that title.

Sometimes the Stars

This is weepingly stunning and reminds me of the magnificent pluww's occasional style of preference.

(notes on) biology

You have to watch this until at least 3:00 minutes in when the main animated character develops his own theme song.  Also, it will remind you of every class, ever, in both middle and high school.

Pretty

I love Musicals.

Candy Corn in Space

NPR, gots to love it.  If you don't listen to Science Friday, you should because it is beautiful.  Also, you will here about crazy people like Don Pettit who builds balls of candy corn in space using a drop of water as a base.  This is mind blowingly awesome, plus, you can learn stuff from it.  Yes, that's right, candy corn in space is educational.

I Own You

All I can think of when I see stop motion is, Sweet Bananas, that looks time consuming.

Wake Up People

Whoa.  Going old school.  I am that person who falls asleep like that.

Imported from Detroit

Holler to Detroit.  I'm Michigan born and bred.  Visit (the zoo is great).  And if it's after dark and late, you won't get arrested for simply yielding at stop signs or traffic lights, because if you come to a complete stop in an empty street, you will get car jacked.  Oh, and the Fox Theatre is gorgeous.

Snickers: Grocery Store Lady

Get ready for a Snicker's commercial assault.

Snickers: Focus Group

Sharks are my number two fear.  Right after zombies.

Snickers: Logging

Are there any not funny Snicker's commercials?

Release the Hounds

Great Goodness!  I've been hoodwinked!

Volkswagen: The Force

I have been remiss in my superbowl commercial postings.  I apologize. On another note, I still pretend to be a Jedi with automatic doors.

MINECRAFT: The Last Minecart

I dont understand the thrill of Minecraft.  But I love zombie movies and cardboard boxes, so this video is a win.  Stick around at least until you see them attack the zombies.  There's some nice graphics.

SyFy House of Imagination 2

I love me some SyFy.

Fast Lane - The Shopping Cart

I want this.

ESO ALMA Antenna Time Lapse

If you have never been somewhere with zero light pollution, go.  Find somewhere and go.  And I don't mean someplace like a camp site.  I mean in the middle of nowhere.  It is so beautiful.  You can't even realize how many stars there are.

Loading a Train

I know nothing of this place, but I want to go just to try to jump onto this train.

Real Lif Mario Kart!

This is ridiculously well done and makes me want to play Mario Kart.

This Train is Very Close to Things

If it went juuust a little slower, the people on the train could buy stuff too.

Lynx Excite - "Fallen Angels"

What was that illegal perfume in "Anchorman"?  Puma Musk? Tell me that is not what Lynx Excite made you think of and I will call you a liar.

Unrelated: Through a series of events I was only partially in control of, Axe ended p in my mouth.  It kind of turned me off the stuff.  (It doesn't help that they all smell like Puma Musk.)

Lynx Excite - "Fallen Angels" from Chris Watling on Vimeo.

Google Art Project

Rant warning:  Okay, so I love art museums, but the recent fad of placing one picture per wall totally depresses me.  I need to be overwhelmed by art awesomesauce.  Also, if I look at the same thing for more than ten minutes, my eyes will melt.  Also, this project, like much of what Google does looks brilliant and awesome.  Also, some museums are against this because they say it will destroy their revenue, but most of this art has exceeded the copyright limitation laws and is therefore public domain. Also.

Axe: Tiens-toi prêt !

So those French know what they're doing.

Metronomy - A Thing for Me

So Metronomy is in today, apparently.  This was another iTunes free download of the week.  I'm telling  you, jump on that boat.

Metronomy - She Wants

So Metronomy does cool stuff.  This one is a ridiculous mixture of stop motion, freeze frame, reverse, and guys in black.  Hard to go wrong with a mix like that.

SPACE HOPPERS in VENICE

Nothing sums this video up better than what the photographer said.

Morning Elegance

This is old but still amazes me.  Also, it was an iTunes free download of the week before it got super popular.  Sign up for that.  Its worth it.

This has gorgeous dance and smashing editing.  Just a few of my favorite things.

Juice to the Moon

Awesome, not just because of the drum line music and the last little balls to the walls comment.

I wish I had enough hair to build a fort out of.  But not really.

Inspirational Unoffcial NASA Commercial

Space.  The Final Frontier.  This video gives me goosebumps and hope.

Created by NASA fan and YouTube user, damewse. - "I got frustrated with NASA and made this video. NASA is the most fascinating, adventurous, epic institution ever devised by human beings, and their media sucks. Seriously. None of their brilliant scientists appear to know how to connect with the social media crowd, which is now more important than ever."
