Not Related to Anything

This man makes my obsession with Star Wars look both lame and inadequate.

Pedigree Dogs ad shot 1000 frames per second

Ah, the power of slow-mo, expensive cameras, and angle editing.  You better believe this was storyboard-ed.

Sony Bravia

They did a whole series of commercials that were awesome.  Go look them up.  Paint and Balls.  Foam and Thread are not as cool.  This one is just the only on that relates to animation.  That Rabbit. It's plasticine.

Paprika

This movie has been out for a while, but I would recommend it again and again and again.  It's even better if you have a way to watch some parts frame by frame.  The movement of the characters is mind blowing.

Après la pluie (After the rain)

May I just say that the French know what they're doing.

Gaz Metro

That is a lot of chalk.

Fluffy Mc Cloud

A title and story after my own heart.

The Secret of Kells

I really want to see this.  Triplets of Belleville was super crazy but lovely.  This one looks lovely in every direction.

Buildings & Vampires

Sad.  Made as a tribute to Where the Wild Things Are.

Chris Graf, everyone.  I, for one, will never look at dust clouds the same way.

NBC Peacock

Everybody loves the NBC peacock and not just because Brian Williams and his classy tie collection work for him.  This is why.

Sketchy Duel

By the same group that did Sketchy Ice Creams (see earlier post of that title), another funny animation.

Margarita

This is a sweet and touching animation.

Blockhead- The Music Scene

This is a super trippy video, but the art is mesmerizing. (Also my stop-motion inspiration for Project #1!)

"The Music Scene" from Anthony Francisco Schepperd on Vimeo.

Clouds

This is one of my favorite all time animations.  It's inspirational, simple, and stunning.

Pyrats

Gobelins.  Do I need to say anything else?

自主制作アニメーション『the TV show』

This is the most super amazing, seizure inducing animation I have ever seen.  It starts to loop, and then you're like, whoa, and then it's like, whoa, and then you're all, OMG, MIND BLOWN.  Don't commit to this unless you have time to watch it at least two, or three, or four, or eight times.  LOVE IT.

The Power Gap

Not only is the vector art in this engaging, it's also very informative.  Simple but effective!

Sketchy Ice Creams

This video is right on par - at least with my family! The drawing style works perfectly with the action in the story, and the minimal noise pops up at just the right parts. Check it out for some laughs!

Le Royaume

From gobelins (of course!) a beautiful piece of art and storytelling.  Notice the arrow in the crown?  Keep watching.  They'll come full circle with that!
