Literal Tron Legacy

So this is really funny.  And, if you squint, it makes you notice angles and fades.  And it's funny.

Meet Buck

ha, weird.

Meet Buck from TeamCerf on Vimeo.

Neither Quick nor a Flick

I apologize.  I have misled you.  Here you are expecting a lovely little snippet of fun and I am about to give you questions and demand answers and be quite out of hand.  Please help me.

This poor girl not only has no idea of what is appropriate day wear, she has nothing to hold.  What is in her hands? I have no idea.... your W-4 from the filing cabinet?  Yesterday's laundry?  WHAT IS SHE HOLDING?!
if  you tell me what she is holding, I promise to clean it up and make it nice.

The Illusionist

I will probably cry during this movie.  It looks charmingly sweet.

The T-Shirt War

These guys are really good (they did the one with pillows, too).

Missed Aches

We watched this in class today.  Um, super funny and super true.

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Okay, so not technically an animation.  But this commercial is so awesome, does it really matter?  No, no it doesn't.

Critter Crunch

I MUST play this game.

CatchUp

As much as I want the poor guy to get away (his running is so adorable!), that meal just wouldn't be the same without him.

BBC Knowledge

Eat up Brain; we're leaving!
Why are the BBC commercials so awesome?  This is probably the bazillionth one I've posted.  I'm pretty sure there's more to this than the accent.  Which, p.s., is pretty epic.

Things to Learn

I have been looking for this video for forever!  It is JUST enough.  Beautiful.

The Pumpkin of Nyefar

Okay, this one is kind of long, but it is totally worth it!

Truly a fate worse than death.

Creature Comforts

This show was so cute.  The voices match the animals perfectly.  Love it!

First Crush

This is really cute.  The audio and the video go together so well.

Vincent

This is a little long, but, hey, it's Tim Burton.  Also, a little creepy.

Coffee

I don't know if this is the right title for this one, but I am pretty sure that this is an accurate representation of an over-caffeinated Frenchman.

Chevron - Sand

There are actually three of these commercials, and they are all awesome.  I wish I could see that.

Project 2

InspirationS.  Descriptions after the page break.  After the Fantasia double post, how could I stop at one?

Fantasia 2000 Rhapsody In Blue

Pay no attention to those men talking.  Just watch the movie.  Yes, two parts.  I know.  But it is the best quality; only the best for you.

Not Related to Anything

This man makes my obsession with Star Wars look both lame and inadequate.

Pedigree Dogs ad shot 1000 frames per second

Ah, the power of slow-mo, expensive cameras, and angle editing.  You better believe this was storyboard-ed.

Sony Bravia

They did a whole series of commercials that were awesome.  Go look them up.  Paint and Balls.  Foam and Thread are not as cool.  This one is just the only on that relates to animation.  That Rabbit. It's plasticine.

Paprika

This movie has been out for a while, but I would recommend it again and again and again.  It's even better if you have a way to watch some parts frame by frame.  The movement of the characters is mind blowing.

Après la pluie (After the rain)

May I just say that the French know what they're doing.

Gaz Metro

That is a lot of chalk.

Fluffy Mc Cloud

A title and story after my own heart.

FLUFFY MC CLOUD from conorfinnegan on Vimeo.

The Secret of Kells

I really want to see this.  Triplets of Belleville was super crazy but lovely.  This one looks lovely in every direction.

Buildings & Vampires

Sad.  Made as a tribute to Where the Wild Things Are.

Chris Graf, everyone.  I, for one, will never look at dust clouds the same way.

Everybody loves the NBC peacock and not just because Brian Williams and his classy tie collection work for him.  This is why.

Sketchy Duel

By the same group that did Sketchy Ice Creams (see earlier post of that title), another funny animation.

This is a sweet and touching animation.

Blockhead- The Music Scene

This is a super trippy video, but the art is mesmerizing. (Also my stop-motion inspiration for Project #1!)

"The Music Scene" from Anthony Francisco Schepperd on Vimeo.

Clouds

This is one of my favorite all time animations.  It's inspirational, simple, and stunning.

Pyrats

Gobelins.  Do I need to say anything else?

自主制作アニメーション『the TV show』

This is the most super amazing, seizure inducing animation I have ever seen.  It starts to loop, and then you're like, whoa, and then it's like, whoa, and then you're all, OMG, MIND BLOWN.  Don't commit to this unless you have time to watch it at least two, or three, or four, or eight times.  LOVE IT.

The Power Gap

Not only is the vector art in this engaging, it's also very informative.  Simple but effective!

Sketchy Ice Creams

This video is right on par - at least with my family! The drawing style works perfectly with the action in the story, and the minimal noise pops up at just the right parts. Check it out for some laughs!

Le Royaume

From gobelins (of course!) a beautiful piece of art and storytelling.  Notice the arrow in the crown?  Keep watching.  They'll come full circle with that!
